6 Keys to Recovering from Tendinitis

Hey guys if you have been dealing with chronic tendinitis, I understand your pain I was dealing with chronic tendinitis for 2+ years until I was able to get together a game plan for conquering it for good. This took me years of research and trial and error but I found surefire ways to permanently heal from tendinitis and speed up healing of injuries in general.

The methods I used are as follows:

1) Breathwork. I started to use my breath as a way to increase adrenaline and blood flow and gather energy in the body. This is also known as Pranayama. There are many techniques within the category of breathwork, the one I used is based off of activating the nervous system rather than calming it down. Send me a message to learn more about this.

2) Hot/cold therapy. This can be cold showers and hot showers back and forth, and in its advanced form ice baths and sauna back and forth. This is the single most powerful way to reverse tendinitis.

3) High protein diet. When you are injured your body needs to rebuild the damaged tissue. Amino acids are the building blocks for the tendons so the more protein you give yourself the more ammo your body has to rebuild. Dietary hacks also include eating generally healthy (no deep fried, processed foods or sugar), and getting micronutrients from fruits and vegetables.

4) Infrared therapy. This is a potent way to calm your nervous system and activate the repair mechanisms in your body through the seratonin/melatonin pathway. Your body needs to go through cycles of activation and then rest and repair to heal. Infrared is found in the sunlight, but also can be used at night with a special lamp (no blue light) to ease you into sleep.

5) Strength training. One of the best ways to heal injuries is to drive blood flow into the afflicted areas. Strength training with weights or bands is one of the best ways to get localized blood flow as well as balance your hormones so your body can perform better. You should only do motions that do not cause sharp pain, until you have built up enough strength to do other exercises.

6) Learning how to relax your body. A lot of tendinitis and chronic injuries are caused exasperated by tightness and tension. Learning that relaxing into the pain can ease symptoms is a good skill to build up to help your recovery.

There are a few more things that may help but these are the main ones. I promise you guys that this is the pathway to successful elimination of tendinitis. Not herbs, not ultrasound therapy, not massage. Not the stuff you have already tried which hasn’t worked. You need to heal from the inside out.

  1. Hello,

Your plan looks promising. Could you please share techniques of doing breath work? I am suffering from Deltoid ligament sprain on my right foot and posterior tibial tendonosis.

    1. Hi Ratula, I will gladly share the methods of breathwork with you. There are 2 types of breathwork that will benefit you – one is meant to activate you and increase adrenaline and bloodflow, the other is meant to relax you and help you de-tense.

I am currently in the process of recording my own videos on the subject – but for the meantime, I will send you some examples of each on YouTube.

Here is a beginner version of the first technique – the one to increase adrenaline and bloodflow. You will want to practice this for 4-5 rounds every single day in the morning.

The second type of breathing is essentially just a form of mediation – very slow breaths in through the nose and out through the nose. You want to pay attention to your heartbeat while you are breathing and try to go for 10-15 minutes. This is best done at night when you are trying to relax and is good to do while listening to peaceful music.

Here is another article I wrote which will benefit you as well. Pay close attention to the first step I mentioned about Cold/Heat training as that is the most potent way to heal chronic injuries.
