How to do Power Breathing (beginner level)

Power breathing is one of the simplest and most effective techniques I teach in Ice Dragon Training. There are 3 types of breathing techniques I teach. 1) Is for calming down your nervous system, slowing your heart rate and de-tensing your muscles. 2) Is for adapting to the cold. 3) Is for increasing your adrenaline and your power.

We will talk about the 3rd one today which is aptly named Power Breathing. I’ve prepared a tutorial video for you to watch that will teach you the basics of the technique. This is for beginners and you can learn the more advanced versions of Power Breathing in my course or if you are a private client of mine.

Before watching the video you must note to NEVER do this method in or near water or while you are walking, driving, riding a scooter, etc. When you are a beginner (and even for advanced practitioners) you can experience light headedness while doing this technique and so you need to be in a calm, safe environment. Only do it while sitting on a couch, or a chair or while lying down.

Here is the video which you can view on my YouTube channel:

Another thing I didn’t mention in the video is that I like to time the breaths with music. So I usually do Power Breathing at the gym as a warmup before I lift weights and I will time the breaths with the beat of the music.

If you are doing this at home you can feel free to put on some cools songs that you like and this will make the breathing more fun and enjoyable.
